New Grant Program from National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)
To mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, NEH’s Public Impact Projects Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary program offers grants of up to $200,000 for projects that focus on public interpretation of the Founding Era and the lasting impact of the people and events that propelled the Revolution.The deadline for applicationsis July 9, 2025. Case Method Institute's Summer Professional Development
The Case Method Institute’s professional development programs introduce high school history, government, and civics teachers to the case method and the History of American Democracy case collection developed by CMI’s Founder, Professor David Moss of Harvard Business School. Teachers who complete the PD gain access to 22 cases, detailed teaching materials, and ongoing individualized support from our staff. Interested teachers can apply here for either of the following programs free of charge:
Live Zoom-based workshop Our summer session will take place on Wednesday, June 18th, from 11am to 5pm ET. This interactive workshop features a live case discussion led by Professor Moss and a Q&A panel with experienced partner teachers. To prepare for the live session, participants will complete 3-5 hours of self-paced pre-work.
Asynchronous program Available year-round, this fully self-paced option can be started at any time and typically takes 8-10 hours to complete. It is the quickest way to get started with the case method! Upon completion, participants are invited to join an optional live teacher panel discussion.
Free Six Week Online Economics Institute with Certification
George Mason University Center for Economic Education is offering this online, asynchronous institute designed for those teaching the economics portion of high school Economics and Personal Finance. Educators who complete the entire institute and pass the Certification Test will receive 45 hours of Professional Development, and be recognized as VCEE Certified Economics Educator: High School.
Free Multi-Disciplinary Curriculum from Citizenship Counts
Citizenship Counts is a national, 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to inspire pride in America through a comprehensive civics-based curriculum that educates middle/high school students on the tenets of citizenships and the naturalization process. Citizenship Counts also partners with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to bring naturalization ceremonies into a school or community setting, bringing students' learning to life.
